Speaking reflexion week 3 - Party at Frances´ This event took place on Saturday 11 th July, at Frances´, cause she was moving home. I went there with 3 spanish friends, and we spent the night with her friends, drinking beers and alcoholic desserts… the best way to learn english. We were playing card games. I don´t remember exactly the name. i only know i had to say many time ” I have never I have ever…”, but it was difficult to say, because they talked too fast. But finally we managed to understand them and we enjoyed it. Then we were outside the house hanging out, and we talked about many things. But as usually happens… we finally talk about Spain, the differences between countries, etc. The main theme was the language. Why the americans only learn english? Why do they have so little interest about learning other languages? In Europe we know at least two languages, our native language and english. In other cases, we also speak 3, 4 or even 5. We discussed about the importance of my spanish in US, and if it´s important for americans to learn it too. They mostly say that it´s important but they don´t have to learn it, the mexicans are the ones that must learn it. Finally, nothing was cleared, but we will see what happens in the future…. The picture is on the way back home. Like typical spanish… doing stupid things hehe. ok ok, I won´t say anymore bad things about them! Ah, by the way, Frances is F.
